Bringing Children to a Service at The Priory Church
Children are very welcome at all our serivces, but especially to the 10am All-Age Family service on the FIRST Sunday of every month when we like to welcome children to Baptism.
This service is a little shorter and less formal than the morning service on other Sundays so that families and children can feel comfortable in what is often a strange place.
All children are very welcome to come along and join in at this Service.
To ensure that you feel comfortable about bringing children of all ages to the Priory church we have made some special arrangements.
Firstly you are most welcome to take your baby to the Choir Vestry at the foot of the tower at any time if they need settling or feeding; just ask a Sidesman or Warden for directions.
Secondly, if you need to change your baby you can drop in at the Priory Hall just down the path towards Church Street where the young people have their own activities - it has recently refurbished toilets with changing facilities: just ask for directions.
Thirdly, if you have slightly older children there is a Children's Area with a selection of books and toys at the back of church by the main door you came in by: feel free to take your child there to play or allow them to borrow a book or toy to take back to your pew.
Finally older children are very welcome to join our Junior Church in the Priory Hall - this starts at 9:50am and, after their own activities, the children are brought across to join the congregation in Church towards the end of the service so that they can be with their families at the Altar rail for a blessing from the Minister.
