Priory Church Services
We are a supportive Church and are there for you during all of life’s big events. We also have available a wonderful Church Hall with capacity of approximately 100 people for any gatherings. Children’s Church
Children and their parents are very welcome to attend any of our Services. There is an area set aside at the back of church where younger children will find books and toys during the service. See below our ‘Weekly Worship Schedule‘ for further details.
First Sunday
9:00 am Holy Communion – a said service in contemporary language.
10:15 am First Sunday Praise – an All-age service, with music from the Psalm 98 group.
The music and stories are particularly suited to children of all ages at this service and the children themselves often take part in the activities.
6:00 pm Choral Evensong – in traditional language, following the Book of Common Prayer 1662 (BCP), with sung Hymns, Psalms, Canticles and an anthem.
Second Sunday
10.00 am Holy Communion – a sung service in contemporary language.
Children are welcome at Junior Church, led by Helen Williams, which takes place in the Church Hall starting at 9.50 am. They join the main service in the church shortly before it ends.
Third Sunday
9:00 am Holy Communion – a said service in traditional language, from the BCP.
10.00 am Holy Communion – a sung service in contemporary language.
Children are welcome to attend this service with their parents and there is a special area with books and toys set aside for them.
Fourth Sunday
10.00 am Holy Communion – a sung service in contemporary language.
Children are welcome to attend this service with their parents and there is a special area with books and toys set aside for them.
7.00 pm Café Church – an informal service, with contemporary music and discussion
Fifth Sunday
10.00 am Holy Communion – a sung service in contemporary language.
Children are welcome to attend this service with their parents and there is a special area with books and toys set aside for them.
Every Thursday
9.30 am Holy Communion – a said service in contemporary language.
